The Annual Percentage Yields (APYs) stated are accurate as of October 1, 2023. There is no minimum balance required to earn the APYs stated. The minimum opening deposit on a savings account is $5.00. The minimum opening deposit on a checking account varies. Fees and other conditions could reduce earnings. See Fee Addendum for information regarding fees.

- Do you offer refunds on ATM service fees?
Use your Ascend debit or ATM card for surcharge-free transactions at select Speedway, Walgreens, Kroger, Costco, and CVS stores in the Allpoint network throughout Middle Tennessee or at more than 55,000 ATMs worldwide in the Allpoint network. If you’re at an Allpoint network ATM and receive a request to accept a surcharge, press “yes” to proceed with the withdrawal. Don’t worry – that fee will be refunded. - How do I report a lost or stolen ATM, debit, or credit card?
To report your credit card lost or stolen, or if you have questions about disputing a transaction or a dispute in progress, please contact the credit union at 800-342-3086.
- I need a new Ascend Debit/ATM/HSA card. Do I need to visit a branch?
If you need a replacement debit card, you may visit your local Ascend branch with a valid photo ID to have a new card instantly issued. Otherwise, a replacement card will need to be ordered. Please contact us at 800-342-3086 to order your card. Any ATM card orders are processed through our Card Services Department with your card arriving by mail or to the branch of your choice within seven to 10 business days.
- Can I have both an Interest Earning or Rewards Checking account simultaneously?
No. You can only have one or the other. However, you can have up to four (4) additional Free Checking accounts.
- What fees can I expect from Ascend?

- When do fees apply to an inactive account?
Accounts will incur a monthly $5 fee after 18 months of inactivity. An inactive account is one where there has been no transaction activity, such as deposits, withdrawals, or transfers, during an 18 month period. Dividend deposits are not considered account activity.
