Joining Ascend
is easy.

You can become a member of Ascend. Read below to learn more about the different ways to be eligible for membership and find the one that fits you best. To open an account, all you have to do is deposit $5 into a savings account. This is not a membership fee – you get it back if you ever decide to close your account.

Family

If someone in your immediate family is an Ascend member, you can also join. Your spouse, children, siblings, parents, grandparents, grandchildren, including the same step and adoptive relationships, are considered immediate family members. Also, if anyone who lives in your household and can demonstrate a degree of permanency is a member of Ascend, you’re eligible to join.

Employer and Organizations

If your employer or organization is one of our partners, you’re eligible to join. You’ll see a complete list of our business and organization partners when you open an account. For information on how your employer or organization can offer membership, click the link below.

Living In An Underserved Area

If you live, work, worship or attend school in an area deemed by the U.S. government to be financially underserved, you’re eligible to join. All of Franklin County as well as parts of Rutherford, Davidson, Dickson, Maury, Marshall, Warren, White, Van Buren and Putnam counties are considered underserved.

Join the Nature Conservancy, Tennessee Chapter (TNC), with a contribution of $25.

All members of The Nature Conservancy are eligible to join Ascend. You can become a member of The Nature Conservancy (TNC) by making a one-time contribution of at least $25. If you want to join TNC, you can do so when you open an account.
