- Do you offer accounts for minors?
At Ascend our brand promise is to educate and help all members become effective financial stewards. In an effort to reach our youngest members and help them create wise saving and spending habits early, we offer number of youth account options. For more information, visit our Youth Accounts page.
- What happens to my Ascend Youth Account when I turn 18?
At 18, you are no longer eligible for an Ascend youth account. With your graduated checking account, you will still enjoy the same account features. However, please note there will be a fee for any checks you order. Visit our Rates Dashboard for current rates and fees.
- Can I transfer money from my account to my child's youth account?
Yes, you can transfer money to your child's youth account if you are joint owner on the account and you have established cross-account transfer. You can transfer funds with Ascend's app, online banking, on the telephone, or in person at a branch.
- Can I open a youth account online?
To open a youth account, you will need to visit an Ascend branch location. Schedule an appointment today.
- Can my parents transfer money from their account into my account?
Yes, your parents can transfer money into your account. You can do this with our Member to Member Account Transfer option in digital banking.
- When do fees apply to an inactive account?
Accounts will incur a monthly $5 fee after 18 months of inactivity. An inactive account is one where there has been no transaction activity, such as deposits, withdrawals, or transfers, during an 18 month period. Dividend deposits are not considered account activity.
