- I won't be able to attend the closing. What other options are there?
If you won't be able to attend the loan closing, contact your Mortgage Loan Originator to discuss other options. If someone you trust is able to attend on your behalf, you can execute a Power of Attorney so that this person can sign documents on your behalf. In other cases, we're able to mail you the documents in advance so that you can sign them and forward them to the closing agent.
- If I apply, where will the closing take place?
We can close your loan at one of the designated branches or the closing agent's office of your choice.
- How can I make my payments?
You can make your mortgage payments in one of the following ways: Automatic transfer from an existing account; digital banking; Ascend's app; in person at a branch; or by mail.
- What additional services do Ascend branches provide?
Our branches offer a number of services, including safe deposit boxes, notary services and coin centers. However, these services may not be available at all of our branches. To discover what additional services each branch provides, visit our Branches/ATMs page.
- Do I have to pay anything to talk with a financial advisor?
This service is offered to credit union members at no initial cost or obligation. Find a Financial Advisor.
- What is the relationship between TruStage™️ and Ascend?
TruStage™️ is Ascend's provider for various insurance products including debt protection, whole life insurance and term life insurance.
- How old should I be to talk with a financial advisor about planning for retirement?
It's never too early to begin planning for retirement. Call 931-454-2967 to schedule an appointment with a financial advisor.
- What happens to my Ascend Youth Account when I turn 18?
At 18, you are no longer eligible for an Ascend youth account. With your graduated checking account, you will still enjoy the same account features. However, please note there will be a fee for any checks you order. Visit our Rates Dashboard for current rates and fees.
