For 75 years, Ascend Federal Credit Union has been built on a simple –but powerful philosophy: people helping people. Since opening our doors in 1951 at Arnold Air Force Base, we have grown alongside the communities we serve, becoming a trusted financial partner for generations of members across Middle Tennessee.

Being a not-for-profit credit union means putting our members at the center of everything we do. That commitment goes beyond service — it’s reflected in the tangible value we give back to members every day.   From our new High-Yield Money Market account to our 9-month Certificate and High-Yield Checking account, we’ve prioritized products that help your money work harder, so we can deliver value to you every single day. We reinvest in you by making banking easier, delivering more competitive returns on your deposits, and creating opportunities for your financial growth.  

In 2025 alone, Ascend returned $7.2 million through High-Yield and Rewards Checking accounts. This is just one example of our continued dedication to delivering meaningful benefits.  

Accessible and Convenient Banking  

Life doesn’t always happen during standard business hours, and your financial partner should be ready when you need them. That’s why we’ve expanded how and when members can connect with us. Through Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs), members can speak with a local teller via video from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Combined with our mobile app and network of over 55,000 fee-free ATMs, we’re making it easier than ever to bank on your schedule — without sacrificing personal service.  

Personalized, Local Guidance  

Convenience is important — but so is connection. That’s why our knowledgeable, local teams remain at the heart of the Ascend experience. We take the time to understand each member’s unique goals and challenges, offering straightforward, personalized guidance along the way. Financial decisions can feel overwhelming, but with trusted experts by your side, they don’t have to be.  

Investing in Stronger Communities  

Our impact extends far beyond financial services. We believe strong communities create stronger futures for everyone—and we’re proud to play an active role in that progress.  

In 2025, Ascend invested $1.2 million back into local communities through donations, in-kind support, and volunteer efforts. We also awarded $47,500 in scholarships, provided financial literacy resources to nearly 40,000 students, and hosted more than 50 financial workshops across Middle Tennessee.
