In its 16^th year raising money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation, Ascend Federal Credit Union is donating $5,546 to help fight breast cancer.

Credit union employees were encouraged to wear blue jeans and pink shirts on Fridays and Saturdays in October for a donation of at least $5 for each “dress-down day.”

Ascend employees raised $2,760. The credit union matched those funds, and a special donation portal for members netted an additional $26 for a total donation of $5,546.

Ascend also showed its support for breast cancer survivors in October by making its Corporate Headquarters in Tullahoma “go pink” with colored exterior lighting.
