The holidays may look different this year, but the dinner plates don’t have to

This has been a tough year for many of us because of the pandemic, but for many of our Middle Tennessee neighbors, it’s been even harder. An estimated 18% of Middle Tennesseans are struggling to put food on the table. That’s nearly one out of every five people locally who are hungry.

With your help, we can fight hunger in Middle Tennessee. And the great news is that in the month of November donations will be matched by Ascend up to $50,000. That means 200,000+ meals on the table. Donations will help ensure those in need have enough to eat now and during the holidays.

We also have opportunities for you to partner with us in the following ways:

  • Follow us on social media - Use #HungerActionTN and @2HarvestMidTN to join the movement and amplify hunger awareness.
  • Attend an event - Many events could be turned into great home-schooling activities.
  • Volunteer – Our volunteers help sort and pack food donations, prepare backpacks for hungry children, as well as assist with special events and administrative support.

Many people’s circumstances have changed recently. If you can’t give right now, we understand. If you need food, please visit our website or text ‘feeds’ to 797979. If you know someone in Middle Tennessee who may need food, please share this information with them. We’re here to help. Together we have the power to change someone’s life.
