The FBI has released a new warning that cybercriminals are using deceptive apps that pose as legitimate banking apps to defraud consumers. The alert warns that look-a-like, fake mobile banking apps are being deployed to catch people off guard during the period of social distancing. With more people using online services due to COVID-19, there has been an increased focus to try and gain access by cybercriminals.

Account safety is always something to keep in mind when using your account online or on your phone. Make sure you are using a secure password and only download the Ascend app and the Card Control by Ascend app from the Google Play Store and the Apple iOS App Store.
