Ascend Federal Credit Union held a grand opening for its new Dickson branch on Thursday, Aug. 29.
The branch, which is the credit union’s 26th Middle Tennessee location, is located in the Crossings at Dickson at 412 Thornton Drive, next to Hobby Lobby.
“Members have been asking us to build a branch in Dickson for many years,” credit union President and CEO Caren Gabriel said during opening remarks. “I’m so glad we now have a financial center to offer more convenient service.”
Ascend’s Board Chairman Anthony Taylor spoke about the interactive teller machines featured at the branch.
“Credit union members can use these machines to complete many of the same transactions performed at a traditional teller line, including withdrawing cash, depositing cash and checks, cashing a check and more,” he said. “Plus, there will always be folks here who can assist with other services, such as applying for a loan.”
Dickson Chamber President and CEO Corey Albert welcomed Ascend to the community.
“I am really excited about the 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. teller service,” he said. “I can’t wait to learn more about the technology you’ve implemented here. We look forward to supporting Ascend in any way we can.”
